Here you can enjoy the same technique as the movie: suggest three recipe options that you know you will be able to make and let her choose. Then extend the invitation so that she goes to buy the ingredients with you and finally take the time that is necessary to cook and serve the table.
Just do me a favor and make sure the kitchen (and the house!) Where you are going to cook is in order. Nobody wants the meeting to fail just because you forgot to check if there was gas in the cylinder, right?
I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of board games. Although I like video games, they don’t offer the same human interaction as a good Monopolly or Game of Life.
There are other simpler options like playing cards, UNO, mimicry or Image and Action. All of them are a good choice if you want to keep the night busy. Suddenly it’s a good idea even to invite couple friends and have a bigger competition.
The advantage is that, in addition to being cheap, you can spice it up with a few bets: whoever loses pays for drinks, food, or whatever else your imagination (and your pocket) allows. If you are not that annoying guy who will want to win at all costs and allow yourself to laugh at the absurd drawings and mimes that people will make (the more they get drunk, the worse), the night has everything to be very pleasant.
An option to make yourself at home a little less passive than a movie night and less active than preparing dinner is simply to invite friends to sing.
Here you need to know if your girl is not too shy and ensure that at least a few friends who are uninhibited enough will hold the singing for an hour or two.
It is important to say that, you do not necessarily need the device to make this happen. A good internet connection and some speakers make the party. Just put that repertoire of cheesy songs to play and invite the crowd to sing.
If the crowd is in the mood, you can propose a contest, with notes for the presentation. In my case, a little competition is always welcome, but you need to know if your class will not be even more timid if they are being “evaluated”. Another option is to do karaoke blindly. In this case, the “artist” of the time listens to the music on a headset and has to dance for others to find out. You will be surprised how much fun this can be.
Just like the sunset, I’m sure not far from you have a nice place to see the stars. Go crazy, even a museum with telescopes available.
Here you can make an adaptation of the tip about the historical tour: research beforehand, make notes on the most famous constellations and then spend your time looking for the stars in the sky.
If it gets monotonous, you can complement it with some alternate horror or love stories to add a mood.
An option that is almost a wildcard and can be combined with several other tips from this list is a bike ride. This is because the bicycle helps you to cover a larger area with the same effort as walking.
If you’re lucky, you’ll find places close by that even offer those double bikes. Thus, you will be forced to work together, which can yield a good laugh. But every bicycle has its risk of unforeseen events, so do what you can to avoid them: it guarantees that the place where you will ride is not very challenging and that you will have people nearby to help you if something goes wrong (like the tire punctures or current drops).
Last, but not least, there is always that option to give a moral to friends who have a band or to those people who play every weekend in the town square. It is a good way to honor local artists and value their region.
In addition, it is very difficult to find someone who just doesn’t like music. Therefore, this is a sure option. Even though the band is very bad, you can follow the lyrics and I’m sure that, unless you are Luciano Andolini, you will not know how to sing better than the guys. So, relax, allow yourself to laugh and guarantee a change to give them even though they are pretty bad. After all, you are already saving enough!
If there are as many ways to exercise masculinities as there are men in the world, there are also endless options for a first, second date or to share your life with the person you love.
